Kevin Reichard founded August Publications in 2003.  The company is named for his grandfather, August Reichard.  It was formed with the launch of Ballpark Digest and has since grown from one employee working out of a home to a diversified publishing firm featuring Websites, books and other merchandise. 

After graduating from Hamline University in 1983, Reichard was an editor at Menneapolis’s MSP Publications before embarking on a freelance career that ended up with a multiyear gig as executive editor at internet.com/Jupitermedia.  He rode the Internet wave from top to bottom.
